The Rothamsted Carbon(Roth C) model with its multi soil carbon pool is widely used to estimate soil organic carbon(SOC) change in response to climate and/or land use change. We used the meteorological data of the Changwu county in north of Shannxi Province as the input parameters of Roth C model. And we used to simulate the dynamics of soil organic carbon(SOC) under the wheat-maize cropping system in a long-term fertilization experiment. We found good correlation between the Roth C model and the measurement data. So we considered that the Roth C model as feasible to predict the SOC dynamics in north of Shannxi Province, but some model parameters should be modified when a great amount of straw carbon input into the soil.
