Wetland areas are able to provide food resources and resting habitats for waterbird. They are also important stopovers for migratory birds. In recent years, the interference factors such as human activities have made a drastic change on wetland land types and the animal and plant communities. Consequently, the migratory birds who survived on wetlands wouldn’t get enough food supplies and shelters. The reduction of available living space will lead to intensification of interspecies competition and make those weaker individuals fail to migrate between wetlands. As a result, the migrating bird population will decline. To study the changes in the degree of fragmentation of habitat patches, classification will be performed through satellite images. Besides, by using contrasting analysis to acquire the relationship between bird population and land use, we’ll analyze how the changing wetland patterns act on migratory bird species and what is the better water level for the wetland. Additionally, analysis of the impacts of landscape changes and its driving factors will provide an important basis for waterbird habitat construction and ecosystem protection, especially for the wetlands which located on the migration paths. Besides, people could formulate preferable managing contents and protecting measures for different wetlands.
