Ngurah Rai Forest Park (NRFP), the largest green open space in Denpasar City, is an important rehabilitation project of mangrove forest in Indonesia and plays an important role in providing ecosystem services which benefit for urban ecology and regional economic. Although it was the most successful project for the period 1992-2006, the ecological and economic values of this forest have not been evaluated yet. This research aimed to evaluate ecological and economic values of Mangrove forest resource in NRFP. The evaluation used total economic value (TEV) approach which calculated direct value, indirect value, option value and existence value of the forest resources. Location Quotient (LQ) method was employed in order to find the economic share of the forest to regional economic. The result showed that the TEV of mangrove forest was Rp 194,848,000 ha-1 y-1 (1 US$ ̴ Rp 11,500). The LQ analysis of ecotourism sector resulted score of 0.01 which means the forest contribute not significantly the Gross Domestic Regional Product (GDRP) of Denpasar City. However, other ecosystem services have not been register its contribution in GDRP. This research could provide an important information for integrating mangrove management into regional development in Denpasar City.
