Agricultural channels work as important habitat for aquatic plants. But recently, some alien aquatic plants invasive these areas. We studied the relationship between aquatic plants and environmental factors at Nasu arrival fan, Tochigi Pref., we found physical environmental factors like current flow and water temperature and chemical factors like pH and CO2 concentration effect to each aquatic plant. From this result, we can find native and alien aquatic plants prefer the same environment, so it's too difficult to conserve native aquatic plants. We observed the winter season environment of agricultural channels is changed by management and presence of spring water. Especially, Veronica anagallis-aquatica and Callitriche stagnalis can stand cold water temperature and low water level, so they have the big impact on the environment of agricultural channels in a spring water area. The aim of this study is to reveal how the seasonal change of environment and presence of spring effect to the growth of native and alien aquatic plants in the agricultural channels. Our survey was conducted in Otawara and Takanezawa included Tochigi Pref. at 2017th Jun, Aug, Oct, and Dec. In this presentation, we show the seasonal change of aquatic plants and discuss how winter season environment affect aquatic plants.
