The purpose of this study is to know the relationship between dragonfly community in the Nannophya pygmaea habitats and environmental condition. We selected four various condition study areas in the Kami-ina district, Nagano Prefecture. The number of appearance of species and population, and behavior of dragonflies were counted and recorded by route census method. The investigation of land utilization was carried out on these areas. The number of species was 26, and the total of populations was 3969. Nannophya pygmaea appeared in wetland and fallow field in only 3 study areas. These environmental conditions were considered favorable spot for other dragonflies use dead water region because many species appeared. Therefore, it was considered effective use of fallow field to conserve this species. On the other hand, Sympetrum frequens appeared about half of all of population. It was considered caused by large percentage of paddy field in study area because the species known as inhabit paddy field. A wide variety of dragonflies were supported by to mixed dead water region and watershed and various environmental in hilly and mountainous area because around 18 species appeared each study areas.
