In our previous study (Koyama et al. 2017), we show that the intra-plant twig size variation of an elm tree was approximated by a lognormal distribution. In this study, I applied the same model to investigate whether I can explain the intra-plant size variation of individual leaves and twigs for oak (Quercus crispula Blume) trees in Obihiro, Hokkaido, Japan.
