Although evaluations of cultural ecosystem services (CESs) using social media are thought to be affected by users' demographic biases, little is known about their actual effects on evaluation outcomes. In this study, we investigated the effects of demographic biases on evaluations of CESs provided by all national parks in Japan using Twitter. Our results showed that demographic biases in particular age groups of users could affect the estimated spatial distribution of CESs. Therefore, the spatial distribution of CESs obtained from Twitter may not be a representative estimate, and adjusting the biases would be an important step towards achieving a more inclusive evaluation of CESs.
