It is necessary to study the relationship between rice growth and temperature throughout the life cycle. In this study, a logistic plant height model was developed using historical rice plant height data in Taiwan. The model can analyze the correlation between model parameters and climatic factors, and predict the rice growth stage according to the key points in the model. In the fall logistic model, these tipping points occur approximately one month earlier than in the spring model. In the spring plant height model, the parameter mid of most cultivars showed a significant negative correlation with the temperature variables in the seedling survival period and vegetative growth period. This indicated that rising accumulated temperature would shorten the growth period of rice. But this phenomenon is not prominent in autumn rice.
