The 68th Annual Meeting of the Ecological Society of Japan, Okayama, will be held online. The conference will provide you with childcare assistance by reimbursing you the cost partially for those who are eligible. Please see below for details.
Overview
Since most of you will participate in the conference online, in exchange of receiving the receipts or other forms of documents showing the local use of childcare systems, e.g., the use of a nanny or temporary care at a daycare center in your area, we will reimburse you the partial cost.
Eligibility
This childcare assistance is open to all Ecological Society of Japan members on any weekday or weekend day. Also, you do not have to be an organizer or a speaker to be eligible. Non-members invited to symposia or forums as speakers or commentators will also be eligible.
Period of Assistance
March 17 (Wednesday) through March 21, 2021 (Sunday)
Subsidy Amount
Up to 50% of your total expenditure will be reimbursed with the maximum being 5,000 yen per day per child but there is no limit to the number of children. However, in case the number of applicants exceeds our limit, then the subsidy amount may be reduced.
How to Apply
Please apply for childcare subsidy as follows.
Childcare subsidies during ESJ68 are available only to those who have a bank accounts in Japan.
Childcare subsidy application (advance application only)
The application will be accepted from January 18th (Monday) to 23:59 on February 19th (Friday).Please register the information regarding the use of childcare services in the following Google Form during the above application period.

We will send you an e-mail for confirmation after we received your application. If you do not receive a reply until the end of February, please contact the ESJ68 childcare staff ( nursery@esj.ne.jp ).
Submission of receipt
After the end of ESJ68, please prepare a receipt with usage details of childcare services (date, time, number of children). And then, please send the receipt image and your transfer account information by e-mail to nursery@esj.ne.jp by 23:59 on March 26th (Friday). Due to the procedural difficulties, we will only accept accounts in Japan.
