Childcare Fee Assistance

The 69th Annual Meeting of the Ecological Society of Japan, Fukuoka, will be held in a “hybrid format.” The conference will provide you with childcare assistance by reimbursing you the cost partially for those who are eligible. Please see below for details.

Overview

We will reimburse you the partial cost in exchange of receiving the receipts showing the local use of childcare systems, e.g., the use of a nanny or temporary care at a daycare center in your area and/or around Fukuoka city.

Eligibility

This childcare assistance is open to all Ecological Society of Japan members. Also, you do not have to be an organizer or a speaker to be eligible. Non-members invited to symposia or forums as speakers or commentators will also be eligible. Childcare subsidies during ESJ69 are available only to those who have a bank account in Japan.

Period of Assistance

14 March 2022 through 19 March 2022 except for 16 March 2022

Subsidy Amount

Up to 50% of your total expenditure will be reimbursed with the maximum being 5,000 yen per day per child but there is no limit to the number of children. However, in case the number of applicants exceeds our limit, then the subsidy amount may be reduced.

How to Apply

The Google form for the application will be open on 17th January. The application deadline is 20th February 2022, 23:59 (JST). Please register the information regarding the use of childcare services in the application form during the period.

ESJ69 Childcare Subsidy Application

We will send you an e-mail for confirmation after we received your application. If you do not receive a reply until the end of February, please contact the ESJ69 childcare staff (nursery@esj.ne.jp).

Submission of receipt

After the end of ESJ69, please prepare a receipt with usage details of childcare services (date, time, number of children). And then, please send the receipt image and your transfer account information by email to the ESJ69 childcare staff (nursery@esj.ne.jp) by 25th March 2022, 23:59(JST). Due to the procedural difficulties, we will only accept accounts in Japan.
